This race took place at Torbay and was hosted
by the Royal Torbay Yacht Club. Their mark

A vessel appears to be "ghosting"
when she is making way through the water
with no apparent assistance from the wind,
the surface of the water being calm. |

was the magnificent yawl owned by Lloyds
of London, she is shown reaching down the
English channel. |

in 1851 and defeated the entire British
fleet in a race for the Kings Cup, which
eventually became known as the America's
Cup. |

Ticonderoga is ahead of her rivals, Altair,
Sumuran and Royono in this friendly race
off Rhode Island. She has recently been
totally renovated to a very high standard. |
